Held several corporate leadership positions in the Industry, Industry Associations, Research & Development, Regulatory, Government & Corporate Affairs - Brazil, USA and Canada. Focus: Crop Protection and Biotecnology Led the Dow AgroSciences Canada R&D organization for 5 years delivering successful launches of new crop protection products and advancements in canola seed development. Steered Dow AgroSciences Regulatory and advocacy initiatives which led to the approval of several new Boitech traits (BTs and Herbicide tolerant crops including Enlist* technology) in Brazil. As President of AGROBIO BRASIL between 2011-2015, many important milestones were achieved for Agriculture Biotecnology in Brazil, which contributed to the consolidation of Biotech regulation and public acceptance of this technology. Led the Crop Protection R&D Industry (ANDEF) efforts in Brazil starting early 2016. Successfully built collaboration with other key agriculture and political stakeholders leading to significant advancements and modernization of the Brazilian pesticide legislation. Guided Crop protectio R&D Industry communications efforts to turn around negative image of pesticide use in Brazil. Strongly supported the development of science based information, acted as the spokesperson and built positive rapport with major media. Currently leading corporate and government affairs at ABRASS (Brazilian Soybean Seeds Producers Association). - Agronomy Bs.
