{Ακολουθεί στα ελληνικά} Mr. Philippou is a graduate of the University of Cyprus in the field of Civil and Environmental Engineering, with a master’s degree in "Sustainable Design and Energy Technologies" by the same institution. Currently he is undertaking through a government fully funded scholarship an MBA at University of Limassol. He has worked both in Cyprus and abroad, in large construction companies and design firms, while he has served as a project manager of co-financed European projects, but also as a managing director, or a member of the corporate management teams for companies, having the role of providing guidance for various sectors related to his profession. He is also an experienced youth worker and trainer who has been actively involved in the field of youth, both in Cyprus and in Europe. He has been an active member of many local and European NGOs, professional bodies, informal youth groups and pools of trainers in the past and today he is current serving as the Treasurer of the Cyprus Civil Engineers Association (CYACE) and the Vice President of the local charter of the International Solar Energy Society organization. In addition, he is the national representative of Cyprus at the International Safety and Health Construction Coordinators Organization (ISHCCO) Ο κος. Φιλίππου είναι απόφοιτος του πανεπιστημίου Κύπρου στον κλάδο των Πολιτικών Μηχανικών και Μηχανικών Περιβάλλοντος, με μεταπτυχιακές σπουδές στις «Ενεργειακές Τεχνολογίες και τον Αειφόρο Σχεδιασμό», από το ίδιο ίδρυμα. Παρακολουθεί μέσω πλήρους υποτροφίας από την κυπριακή δημοκρατία μεταπτυχιακό στην διοίκηση επιτηρήσεων στο University of Limassol. Έχει εργαστεί τόσο στην Κύπρο όσο και στο εξωτερικό, σε μεγάλές κατασκευαστικές εταιρείες και μελετητικά γραφεία, ενώ έχει διατελέσει διαχειριστής ευρωπαϊκών συγχρηματοδοτούμενων έργων, αλλά και ως διευθύνων σύμβουλος, ή μέλος των διοικητικών ομάδων εταιρειών, έχοντας τον ρόλο της παροχής καθοδήγησης σε διάφορους συναφείς με το επάγγελμα του τομείς. Παράλληλα είναι ένας έμπειρος λειτουργός και εκπαιδευτής νεολαίας, ο οποίος συμμετέχει ενεργά στον τομέα της νεολαίας, τόσο στην Κύπρο όσο και στην Ευρώπη. Έχει διατελέσει ενεργό μέλος πολλών τοπικών και ευρωπαϊκών Μ.Κ.Ο., επαγγελματικών σωμάτων και άτυπων ομάδων νέων, αλλά και ομάδων εκπαιδευτών νεολαίας, και σήμερα είναι ο γενικός ταμίας του Συλλόγου Πολιτικών Μηχανικών Κύπρου και αντιπρόεδρος στην Διεθνή Οργάνωση Ηλιακής Ενέργειας Κύπρου. Ταυτόχρονα είναι ο εθνικός εκπρόσωπος της Κύπρου, στο Διεθνή Οργανισμό Συντονιστών Ασφάλειας και Υγείας Στις Κατασκευές.

As one of the 2 founders of Philippou Bros Energeia Ltd, Mr. Philippou currently holds the position of the company's Managing Director, as well as the the head engineer. As the company's General Manager, he is in charge of all its operations. The company has already constructed its first photovoltaics power plant in Cyprus, with an overall capacity of 100kw, which has been connected to the electricity network since February 2015, providing the island, "safe" and "green" energy from a renewable source. The company is now in the stage of planning additional investments in the field of renewable energy systems. In addition, Philippou Bros Energeia Ltd is providing civil and environmental engineering as well as health and safety training services, to companies and individuals, both locally and internationally.
