Since May 2016 I am the head of all controllers in the Handicare Group. 8 people report to me. I am part of the management team for the largest business unit in the group with a turnover of approximately 1,5 billion SEK. I am responsible for external reporting of the consolidated group, such as Annual Report, VAT, Taxes as well as the internal such as monthly reporting to management and owners, bank reporting and working capital.
Handicare group is owned by the Swedish PE company Nordic Capital and has a turnover of approximately 2,5 billion SEK with subsidiaries in the Nordic countries, UK, US, Holland and China. I am responsible for the finance in the group and Handicare Group AB. My group consists of four persons responsible for treasury, consolidation, accounting and one project person for the ERP upgrade. The role requires analytical skills both from an operational and strategic perspective. We prepare forecasts and monthly reports to group management, the board and our banks. I am member of the Finance and Audit Committee. Annually I drive the process of preparing the annual reports, income tax returns, budget process and coordinate the audit. The responsibility for the IFRS within the group is part of the role. Since I joined Handicare we have amongst other thing; moved the HQ to Stockholm, started new and closed old companies, renegotiated group insurance, implemented new Transfer Pricing, reorganized, moved the cash pool and divested a division.
