I have worked around the world as a journalist, educator and writer. Through my journeys there was a common element that kept presenting itself regardless of gender, religion, or region: people in grief were lost and often alone in their suffering. Something had to be done. And so I teamed up with a psychotherapist, and together we have worked to solve that problem. We have created a new paradigm for grief, using colours rather than the outdated, often counter productive 'stages'. Our series is called Remember, It's OK. We speak/write to the one in grief, and to those seeking support those in grief professionally and within community. Our grief avoidant society costs us dearly in our personal lives, and in a business bottom line. Ask me to speak at your business, church, school....the list is endless. Grief makes it difficult for people to function, and I can help. Please email me and check out the Remember books at marinalreed.com/remember/. It will change the way you think about grief.
At CBC I was a researcher and a producer with The Journal and MarketPlace. I have created, written and facilitated education programs for senior student in 3 countries. I currently have a blog, have written 2 novels and do freelance writing. I am a visual artist and love the arts.
Grief costs our society, emotionally and economically. I can help change that.
