    By shadowing Dr. Elina Jerschow, I gathered experience working in the immunology and allergy department of the Montefiore hospital on the Albert Einstein School of Medicine Campus. There I helped in clinical rounds, gathering patient history, examining patients’ lungs/heart/nose/ears, and observing desensitization to chemotherapy/other allergies, allergy testing, and allergy shots. Furthermore, I helped with medical research by gathering articles on carboplatin-induced heart attacks due to patients having heart attacks after desensitization to chemotherapy.
