Since 35 years I -she/her- have been been walking and exploring the field of creative music, internationally. In the past 7 years I was educated as a Voice Dialogue facilitator/therapist (with trauma specialisation) and as a certified Confidential Counsellor - at Van Oss & Partners. In a nutshell, an employer should provide for a safe work space and ensure that an employee who suffers from (sexual) intimidation, bullying, social exclusion, discrimination or aggression and violence is cared for. It is also about integrity, protection of whistle blowers when it comes to theft, fraude and matters that harm the organisation or the social interest. An (external) Confidential Counsellor guides people with complaints about their interactions with others, de-escalates, provides support (and if necessary) refers them to care providers, mediators, psychologists, legal advisors, law enforcement or other experts. He or she contributes to improving the work environment and helps de-escalate undesirable behaviour. A confidential counselor clearly demonstrates the potential impact of certain behaviour on the organisation and contributes to recovery, connection, and respectful interaction. Since over 30 years I have been exploring and walking the field of music. For me it is all about connection, communication and collaboration, the sowing and reaping that leads to the right artist on the right stage, expressing the core of their story. I was running eclectic music festival FlatFest and jazz & beyond festival So What’s Next? I’m equally passionate about guiding young musicians and music students on their long and winding road in the professional music world.
