About

I am a social worker with 39 years extensive experience in the Family and Child care Field. I've been running my own private practice since 1994, specializing in adoptions but also focusing on therapy with children and families. Human rights, especially Children’s rights is my passion. Through the years I've been involved and chairing many different committees at both NGO’s and in SAASWIPP. I also served on the 3rd Professional Board of Social Work and was the Chairperson of the 4th Professional Board of Social Work. The Social Work Profession is close to my heart and I believe that every opportunity should be utilized to enhance the image of the profession as such as well as ensuring a high level of service delivery from the social service practitioners in order to earn the respect they deserve. Above all, I believe my faith is the anchor that prevents me drifting off in any direction and it is the source from where I get the ability and the courage to do what I have to do.
