I am a native English-speaking Greek/American; I have a BA in psychology and have been working with children of various ages for the past decade. Being a teacher has been a very fulfilling role. I have been the classroom teacher for KG 1, taught math and science to Grade 3 students. I am currently working as an online teacher for various ages with children in China. These roles have provided me with experience in classroom management, behavioral management, organization, motivating students and working within a team. Including, creating a curriculum and forming comprehensive lesson plans. In addition, I have also had five years of experience as a tutor for a high school student in English and Psychology. This entailed quantitative, analytical and communication skills. I have also held summer jobs in both the United States, Qatar and Greece. These have provided me with exposure to a multi-cultural environment which enable me to work with all types of people. My mission as a teacher is to see my children become competent and strong communicators. They will learn every day, but my main goal is for them to feel confident in communicating with adults, their peers and in daily situations. To move through life with integrity and make themselves positive contributors to society. To be critical thinkers, not shy away from being inquisitive, to feel empowered and know their voice counts, that they will be heard. This is a skill, a lesson they will need for the rest of their lives and will benefit them greatly wherever their future may lead them both professionally and personally.
