I am currently a senior at California State University, Fresno seeking to achieve my Bachelor's in Psychology. I have interest of working in a career that allows me to assist individuals in reaching their goals and arranging appropriate care in order to improve their daily lives. My experience within the Mental Health Field for the past 3 years has taught me how to build a strong rapport with the clients we serve at our facility. I continuously provide support to our clients by helping them manage their mental health problems. I teach our clients core life skills they can utilize during independent living. Furthermore, when clients are dealing with violent, aggressive behaviors I assist them in coping with their emotions through crisis intervention and de-escalation situations. Working within the mental health field has strengthened my level of patience, amount of compassion and comprehension of empathy I have to better assist clients in their needs.
