The research project will include a qualitative analysis exploring the effects of friendships on Eating Disorder recovery. I will look into partnerships between hospitals to recruit participants who have had eating disorder treatment. We will also be recruiting participants online and screening them using the EDE-Q.

      Peer Mentors offer appointments and drop-in sessions with other students at the University of Toronto St George Campus to provide assistance, referrals and information about academic resources and skills. They work continuously to develop their knowledge of academic resources, programs and services from across the University and beyond. Furthermore, in order to support student learning they work with a broader team to develop and deliver programs and initiatives at Academic Success. This position is ideal for applicants who are interested in student life, learning strategies and interpersonal engagement. The Academic Success peer team provide resources, make referrals and work with all students to help them succeed at university. We are looking for new members with strong communication skills and a desire to grow professionally, who want to join us as leaders in supporting our fellow students. Priority will be given to those who have worked in this role before. Appointments and Preparations (50%): • Conduct 1-to-1 appointments with students, addressing academic needs and concerns • Create an inclusive and accessible space for students to ask for and receive help • Ask key questions and co-create solutions with students • Provide academic and community referrals as appropriate • Create, manage and log appointments and/or drop-in sessions on CLNx Team and Professional Development (20%): • Attend regular team meetings and trainings • Participate in teambuilding activities Communication and Administration (10%): • Communicate with students, fellow peers, and supervisors promptly and professionally • Monitor email and Microsoft Teams messages regularly to stay up to date on work-related messages • Support Study Hubs with check-ins and attendance logging y Additional Duties (20%): • As assigned by supervisor and agreed with teammates
