I have worked in Rome, Beijing and Shanghai. Thanks to my in-depth knowledge of Chinese culture and language, since 2002 I have had an active role in promoting the exchange between the Chinese contemporary art scene and International circuit of galleries and Museums. My academic research has been largely dedicated to the analysis of cross-cultural visual practices and global media, including film and television. I am interested in sustainable technology, information fluxes and open access to resources. At the moment I am committed to the reinforcement of my critical vision of the world.
Amongst the main projects: 2016 "TUTORIALS - Moving Images and a User's Guide from China" A collective exhibition featuring multimedia works by Fang Lu, Guan Xiao, Li Ming, Liu Chuang, Liu Shiyuan, Lu Yang, Tao Hui, Xu Zhen Ye Linghan, Yu Honglei, the Pino Pascali Museum Foundation, Polignano a Mare, Bari (Italy). 2017 ORACLE An installation by Michele Giangrande, Batteria Gullì, Reggio Calabria (Italy). 2018 CRITICAL LANDSCAPES A photography exhibition featuring works by Weng Fen and Zhang Kechun, the International Center of Photography, Cantieri Culturali alla Zisa, Palermo (Italy).
Curatorship of major group exhibitions and organisation of public education activities such as lectures, conferences and screenings; Team development and communication with other departments; Reporting results and prospective projects to the board of executives; Drawing up and editing of catalogues, guidebooks contents and web contents; Establishment of partnerships and exchange programmes with Museums and Art Centers; Activity of fundraising and individuation of potential sponsors; Networking with the local and international art scene; Budget development and verification of costs; Liaising with local and international press.
