I have 15 years of broad research experience ranging from cancer and tumor invasion to diabetes, autoimmunity and inflammation research. I currently hold a senior post doc position at the Finsen laboratory in Copenhagen where I am the principal investigator for our therapeutic in vivo studies. My main expertise lies within animal models, in vitro assays and flow cytometry. Presently, I project manage the in vivo program at the Finsen laboratory which includes supervising personnel, obtaining licenses and reporting animal statistics. In addition, I am responsible for developing and implementing tumor models for efficacy testing and assessing PK properties of in-house developed compounds. Having presented my work on numerous occasions, I am a highly skilled and awarded presenter and I thoroughly enjoy communicating whether it may be through oral presentations, posters, scientific publications or reports. I thrive in a team environment and I am regarded as an enthusiastic co-worker who strives for excellence in everything I undertake.
Studying degradation of extracellular matrix leading to tumor invasion and metastasis. Particular interest in the newly characterized collagen receptor Endo-180/uPARAP and is currently setting up in vivo cancer-models to study the effect of therapeutic antibody treatment against Endo-180/uPARAP.
Thesis title: Aspects of T cell development contributing to autoimmunity. Studied impact of TGF-beta and insulin on T cell development and function using a TGF-beta type II receptor inducible knock out mouse model and insulin knock out mouse.
