Maria Badia is an Editor and Director from Barcelona, based in New York since 2008. She is fascinated by intimate stories, and believes in the power of storytelling as an awareness tool. She also loves to dive in historical content, due to her journalistic background. She is an editor for several episodes of The American Theatre Wing’s Working in Theatre, an Emmy nominated documentary series that reveals theatre’s inner-workings. She is a regular collaborator at BBC Reel, Retro Report and Goldcrest Films, among others. More recently she has been editing long episodic content at Blackfin Productions. She was a fellow at Uniondocs Collaborative Studio, a documentary arts center which keeps inspiring her vision on new approaches on filmmaking.
