Quantum physicist, science communicator and content creator. Working towards building fault-tolerant quantum computers as a quantum scientist & communicator at Oxford Quantum Circuits. My "superpower" is the ability to combine deep technical knowledge with high-quality science communication. *Background* I've been working at Oxford Quantum Circuits since October 2024, in a hybrid role of research on quantum error correction for fault-tolerant quantum computing, and science communication with the commercial and marketing teams. I have a PhD from the University of Oxford in the foundations of quantum information science, including the quantum arrow of time, quantum measurement paradoxes and locality in entanglement. Alongside my PhD, I did several internships combining quantum with science communication, at IBM Quantum and Riverlane, and was active in many outreach, education and entrepreneurship initiatives. *Highlights* - Hosting the Quantum Foundations Video Podcast on my YouTube channel — there's an "accessible" and "technical" episode for each instalment, go watch! - Created a Quantum Paradoxes series of 14 YouTube videos (on the Qiskit YouTube channel), blogs and code tutorials, demystifying quantum thought experiments by presenting them as quantum circuits that can be run on near-term quantum computers. - Ran a "Quantum on the Clock" Schools Video Competition 2022, leading a sub-team of the IOP QQQ group. Around 200 UK and Ireland High School students created 3-minute videos about quantum science and technology, and the 20 winning videos were uploaded to the IOP YouTube channel. - Published research papers on quantum thermodynamics, constructor theory and quantum education. More foundational research papers on the way, e.g. about quantum thought experiments involving measurement and about the local account of entanglement. - I've been giving talks (at venues such as the Royal Institution, New Scientist Live, and Cheltenham Science Festival), writing essays and articles (for publications such as Physics World and Nature) and creating workshops (e.g. for Oxford Quantum Information Society, which I founded in 2019, and for High School students and educators) about quantum science and technology for years. My interest in science communication, public engagement and outreach began when I was 15, and I have constantly been presenting through all kinds of media since then.
My role is a hybrid of quantum computing research, with a focus on quantum error correction for building fault-tolerant quantum computers, and science communication with the product, marketing and commercial teams. I work in the Quantum Theory team.
The Conjecture Institute was recently founded to support the growth of knowledge. The institute supports my content creation on fundamental physics and technology. These projects include my Quantum Foundations Podcast, quantum explainer YouTube videos, and a popular science book to demystify quantum.

Elected to join the committee for the Institute of Physics' Quantum Optics, Quantum Information and Quantum Control (QQQ) special interest group. The committee organises events, and supports initiatives, that connect and advance the quantum community. I am leading the creation of a “Quantum on the Clock” video competition for A-level and equivalent students.
