In the last four years I lived in Bristol but I decided to get back in Italy. For two years and a half I had the fantastic opportunity to work for Valor Hospitality at the Hilton Garden Inn Bristol City Centre. Valor Hospitality is a dynamic, multi-award-winning hotel management company under leading global Hotel brands including Marriot, Hilton and IHG. Here in less of one year I jumped from the position of team member to the Shift Leader one. I found my passion for Hospitality and in particular for "Hotellerie" many years ago when I start to go to the workshops of the A.D.A. CAMPANIA (the Hotel Managers Association of my region), at that times I was still studying at the Uni. Hospitality to me is a philosophy of life and I'm really passionate about this amazing and challenging huge world. Every day is different and can be good or bad but you always go home with more knowledge. Whether you’re a front desk agent in a hotel, or a kitchen porter working behind the scenes, or even if you’re involved in the management, every time we come into the hotel we are making someone’s day that little brighter. Our job is all about people. It’s not about widgets or spreadsheets; it’s about guarantee an happy experience and follow up all the requests and the guests needs. I'm people focused, whether they are guests or colleagues. I really believe in the power of team work and for this my last learning experience has been in Life Coaching and Team building. "One of the most powerful reasons for team building is to get results". You must have heard this phrase many times. What does it mean? Simply that you can achieve your biggest obstacles if you have a team that shares a common goal and works together to achieve it. A team that works together performs and excels and in our case makes guests happier.
