As an education leader, I learned to be a listener, a reflective teacher and a model of acceptable behaviors to children, parents and colleagues. I work collaboratively with colleagues to create effective lesson plans that are differentiated and conducive to students and that are aligned with the state’s academic standards. Fine-tuning my teaching skills and being current on issues affecting children, families and education are vital in my field of early childhood education.
