Experience

  • Software Engineer, Data at RapidSOS
    Oct 2025 - Present · 10 mos

  • IDC (3 yrs 3 mos)
    • Data Warehouse Engineer
      Mar 2023 - Jun 2025 · 2 yrs 4 mos

I transitioned to a new role but stayed with the same awesome team at IDC. Now, I manage the entire integration process, and we've changed our approach to using IaC (Pulumi) with AWS for data ingestion. 🏆 Achievements: • Developed a Python library that saves us 70% of the time when integrating new tables into our Snowflake DWH. This means we can focus on more important stuff. • Given that we integrate up to 20+ tables a month, this library is a huge time-saver! • Simplified the deployment process with an automated Jenkins build inside GitLab merge requests • Collaborated with my colleagues to establish a solid naming convention for tables and design the overall architecture of our Data Warehouse 🛠️ Skills Used: • Snowflake: role management, integration processes (AWS S3 with Snowflake Snowpipes, stages, Snowflake Integrations) • Data Build Tool (DBT): creating models, understanding relationships, macros, tests, etc. • Python: improved my skills in creating libraries that ease internal processes 🎯 Goals: • Deliver data (PowerBI reports) to our clients faster • Ensure the high efficiency of our Data Warehouse while keeping costs low

    • ETL Developer
      Apr 2022 - Mar 2023 · 1 yr

IDC is a data-centric company offering insights on various topics, especially in the tech market. As an ETL Developer, my job was to ensure that data from multiple databases were correctly transformed and updated daily in our Data Warehouse. 🏆 Achievements: • Managed the project to rewrite Pentaho Kettle jobs to Managed Airflow • Created detailed documentation and a tracking system to monitor the progress of rewritten jobs • Gained deep knowledge of databases, Python, and ETL processes • Collaborated closely with Business Analysts to ensure they received accurate data • Took on some responsibilities for managing the Data Warehouse 🛠️ Skills Used: • Acquired a ton of new skills in this role • Learned the ins and outs of Flyway migrations • Managed the architecture of the orchestration system (Managed Airflow) • Improved my cloud services expertise, especially using AWS (IaM, S3, MWAA) 🎯 Goals: • The main goal was to migrate all Kettle jobs to Managed Airflow for better debugging and to streamline many processes • Enhance monitoring for various data-related tasks • Ensure that data for reporting was always accurate and timely

  • Python Developer at SolidSun
    Apr 2021 - Aug 2022 · 1 yr 5 mos

I've been part of the SolidSun team as a part-time role, a company that's all about solar panel installation and monitoring. My role involved managing the monitoring systems and creating scripts to ensure the solar panels were working correctly. 🏆 Achievements: • Developed a script that automatically adjusts battery charging from the solar panels based on the household's current usage • Scraped data on all solar panel users, tracking their performance and locations • Worked with Python, Linux, Raspberry Pi, and a little bit in phpMyAdmin 🎯 Goal: • Improving the company's solar panel monitoring processes • Assisting with various small tasks to keep things running smoothly

  • Transcriptionist at Charles University
    Mar 2020 - Dec 2021 · 1 yr 10 mos

I spent almost 2 years at Charles University, working as a transcriptionist in a super cool team. Our job was to transcribe and clean up automatically generated transcripts from various meetings. This was all part of a big machine learning project aimed at creating real-time subtitles and translations for the European Congress. 🔍 Project Focus: We focused on providing automatic live subtitles and translations in different languages for the European Congress. 🏆 Achievements: • Developed a Python script to make the process of assigning speaker names to the transcript • This script resulted in higher team productivity easing the process a lot • Corrected automatic translations • Created summaries of meetings • Matched summaries with transcribed texts in a specialized program 🎯 Goal: Our ultimate goal was to improve machine learning models that would later be used to produce live subtitles for the European Congress.
