‘Weaving the Words’ was a social exhibition project curated by artist Pernille Lonstrup (DK/NL) about the connection between women, art, textile and society. Participating artists, besides Lonstrup, are Femke Schaap (NL), Isfrid Angard Siljehaug (NO/NL), Rosa Smits (NL). All participating artists presented new works as part of the project. The exhibition took place in PLEINKAMER, an exhibition space located in Amsterdam. PLEINKAMER is also be the location of six textile art workshops that will be organized until December. I engaged Amsterdam politician Renée de Zwart for the opening lecture and I was responsible for the pr of this project as well.
