I have now worked as a landscape architect for more than 36 years and if truth be told am still learning. However, I’m as passionate about landscape as I ever was, or perhaps even more. I have gained considerable experience in landscape/townscape and visual impact assessment and in giving evidence as #expert witness at public inquiries. I believe my advice to clients is direct (some might say ‘blunt’) and independent. I have particular expertise in the design and assessment of #windfarms and estimate to have advised clients on in the order of 200 sites. I am active in improving and developing interactive methods to communicate with people about developments in their locality. To deliver this I work closely with our partner in the Netherlands: @TheImagineers My experience also relates to my voluntary work within the @LandscapeInstitute: I’m Chair of the Landscape Institute's Technical Committee and of the #GLVIA Advisory Panel. I am also a Trustee of the institute. I am an experienced speaker at conferences. Those who know me will no doubt also know that I am an activist to help finding a cure for Parkinson’s. I’m also realistic enough to know this will unlikely be in my lifetime but that only fuels determination. I am Chair of Parkinson's UK's Dundee Research Interest Group (DRIG), member of the research development team of Parkinson’s UK, act as a PwP (Person with Parkinson’s) advocate in public and patient involvement in research and in medicine development a PD Avenger.
