Most enterprise AI engagements stall not on the technology but on the discipline. Four patterns separate firms that ship AI from firms that ship slideware: how they scope, how they qualify, how they sell, and how they govern. I help mid-market enterprises and consulting firms get the discipline right before they invest in the model. I've spent the last 15 years at the intersection of technical systems and organizational performance, learning that the technology is rarely the bottleneck. Aerospace engineering taught me the discipline of scoping consequential systems. Six Sigma taught me how operations actually scale. The data science practice I led at ISC over the past three years taught me which AI engagements ship and which stall. As Co-CEO of Insight Softmax Consulting, I run our enterprise AI advisory line jointly with our Managing Director. ISC has grown from 50 to 75 employees on a mix of mid-market AI engagements, partner co-deliveries with SoftwareOne and Spectro Cloud, and a sharp focus on what the Big-4 cannot do at our price point. We publish openly on AI engagement scoping discipline because it's the work most firms get wrong. Background: Mathematical Engineering degree (Bundeswehr), MBA in International Business (Hult), Six Sigma Black Belt.
