I am a holistic designer used to working on entire concepts. This envolves me developing trend and colour boards throughout the sesason to continually keep investigating trends. I have widely worked with suppliers in the UK,Asia and Europe developing,for example,ceramics in Portugal,prints in China,Spain and the UK,wooden and metal objects like lamps,boxes and frames in India and anything from mirrors,vases and objets in China. My approach to design is meticulous,disciplined and driven,but also passionate and highly emocional.I will not release a design until i think it is perfect from an aesthetic and commercial point of view. I love to draw and watercolour and i strive to apply this artistic passion both in my private and work life
I am currently designing several collections of ceramic items a season catering to primarily European companies such as Mango,Zara Home and Maison du Monde
My prints are being sold in the US,Europe,Australia,South Africa etc. to the likes of Anthropologie,J.Crew,GAP,Mango etc.
At Zara Home I work side by side with the creative director on every season´s design direction,colours and trends that set the decisive direction for the whole company.This starts with an inspiration trip,continues with mood boards and colour charts to acquisition of artworks for all categories.I have been responsible for the objects category for the past two years while before that i led the decorative cushion category working on prints,embroidery and embellishment while coordinating with all the other product segments.I liaise with out of house designers and suppliers while designing artworks in house.I deal both with the Asian and European supply chain,taking me on frequent trips every season.
My prints were sold internationally to fashion houses from Etro,Ralph Lauren,Calvin Klein to Walmart,GAP and Banana Republic
