Responsible for overseeing the efficient movement, storage, and distribution of materials and products within the company. This role focuses on optimizing the supply chain process, ensuring timely delivery, managing inventory levels, and collaborating with various pre-cast concrete departments, contractors, and on-site construction erect crews to enhance operational efficiency. The position requires strong leadership skills to manage logistics teams and develop strategies that improve material flow from suppliers to production and a number of new build construction sites throughout the American Southwest region.
Personnel and Production Management of reinforced bar to Cfe metal plate materials which provides the structural framework and connecting supporters of all concrete products. Duties include: •Assure the safety of all employees and insure that safe working conditions exist in all areas while implementing continuous improvement plans to eliminate all work related incidents. •Confer with management personnel to establish production and quality control standards, policies and procedures. •Assure all standards are met and ensure compliance with all engineering specifications and certification agencies. •Plans and directs production activities and establishes production priorities. •Control inventory, scrap and material utilization. •Coordinates production activities with procurement, maintenance and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines and equipment. •Assist and mentor the development of those employees identified as possible candidates for future advancement through the use of training programs, certification updates and mentoring to better qualify them for current and future positions within the company. •Confer with management to uphold company policies, maintain superior employee relations and attain companywide goals. •Compile, store and retrieve production data. •Perform and direct special projects as assigned.
Shipboard pipefitter - removes, repairs, manufactures, installs and tests piping systems aboard U.S. Navy vessels. Quality Control and documentation using piping diagrams to determine angles of bends, using machinery to bend those angles, prepare joint fit-up in shop and installing the piping aboard ship. Materials used may include copper, nickel copper and stainless steel.

Identifies hazards, unsafe work practices, and health hazardous conditions. Assists in the evaluation of workplace hazards, including periodic workplace monitoring. Prepares various safety and mishap reports, maintains hazard abatement program documentation, and aids in mishap investigations. Arranges or conducts indoctrination and periodic NAVOSH and safety training. Disseminates NAVOSH and safety program information throughout the chain of command.
Revitalized company Quality Assurance program and led training seminars for 215 quality assurance craftsman and qualified nine QA Inspectors which not only increased the training rate of employees by 85%, but also improved company capabilities and earned the company a regional award of excellence. Audited the inspection, testing, and certification of welding, fabrication and repair surveillances, assuring procedural and technical compliance in accordance with 65 Controlled Work Packages (CWP) for Non-nuclear Propulsion Plant standards. Led 27 preventative-maintenance workers to stellar performance. Timely program reporting of nine revision conflicts and eleven Technical Feedback Reports had brought stability and vast technical expertise to the company’s equipment readiness and resulted in zero discrepancies during regional program inspection and training records evaluation. Performed over 2,500 repairs to various ship’s hull, plumbing and piping systems, and structural members by brazing, electrical arc welding, oxyacetylene welding and cutting, and MIG/TIG welding. Sought out for work package development, quality assurance inspections and training of all new ship welders as Weld Qualification Supervisor.
