I worked as a research associate in the field of cluster physics. During that time I developed measurement software and analysis tools for x-ray laser based cluster imaging experiments carried out at LCLS (Stanford, USA) and FLASH (Hamburg, Germany). The aim of the experiments was the understanding of light-matter interaction in discrete systems, observing energy dissipation of size selected nano structures using imaging technology. The software I wrote in this context was based on Qt4.x technology with a focus on image processing and parallel computing. Besides my research interests I mentored diploma and bachelor students, organized beam-times at research facilities, and designed and build experimental setups. I wrote my PhD theses about cluster imaging.
