Marcos Rothstein is Professor of Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine, and Medical Director of three hemodialysis units in the St. Louis, Missouri area. Dr. Rothstein serves in both a clinical and research capacity with the Renal Division at Washington University. His clinical interest lies in the treatment of hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis patients. His research interests include complicated hypertension, management of chronic kidney disease, anemia of chronic illness, erythropoietin and iron management. Dr. Rothstien has served as Principal Investigator for many studies. He is also mentor to medical students, residents, fellows and colleagues in the field of renal kidney disease. He has authored and co-authored many abstracts, articles and chapters being accepted in leading publications in the field of nephrology. He serves on the board of the National Kidney Foundation and is an editorial advisor to many renal journals. He is member of many prominent medical societies.
