Holds a bachelor’s degree in Photonic Science and Engineering from the CREOL College of Optics and Photonics at UCF. Experienced in infrared sensor design and manufacturing, thin-film optics and optical coating fabrication, photolithography, and test engineering. An experienced and comfortable public speaker, collaborator, and fluent English/Spanish speaker.
Design, development and analysis of electro-optical devices including active IR and ToF proximity/range sensors. Responsible for research and development of new/existing products. Maintaining and improving existing product documentation through CAD and other engineering software. Evaluating changes and deviations of existing products. Designing test fixtures and creating test protocols for new and legacy parts/products. Resolving quality and production issues.
Research and development of broadband and narrowband diffractive waveplate elements in NIR and SWIR bands. Manufacturing, testing, and characterizing a wide assortment of static and switchable liquid crystal optics. Writing test procedures, production procedures, and assembling data packages for deliverable programs.
Learning of and assisting in the fabrication of diffractive wave plate devices using with liquid crystals. Supporting production of diffractive lenses, gratings, and diffusers.
Worked with optical production engineers in new product introduction. Writing assembly and building procedures for new products as well as analyzing factory/material data.
