Most MRO distributors quietly avoid talking about their defence business. We don't. Rubix is actively building a dedicated competence centre for the defence sector, and I lead that commercial development across Germany, Austria and Switzerland. I work with defence prime contractors and the new generation of European deep tech companies scaling into serial production. The challenge most face is the same: commercial supply chain infrastructure was not built for defence requirements. NATO stock numbers, AQAP quality standards, military-grade logistics and specialised product compliance are not standard capabilities. For the procurement and operations teams I work with, finding a partner who handles all of this reliably is the hard part. That is the problem I help solve at Rubix, Europe's largest MRO distributor with over five million products and 750 locations across 24 countries. I have served as a soldier in the German Army Reserve for over eight years, including deployment during NATO exercise Steadfast Defender 24. That background matters in this sector. Defence relationships are built on trust, shared language and long-term commitment, not short sales cycles. I take that seriously. Alongside my role at Rubix, I follow the European defence industry closely through a period of significant rearmament and industrial expansion.     I lead defence sector business development across Germany, Austria and Switzerland, focusing on procurement and operations teams at prime contractors and defence tech startups scaling into serial production. Standard MRO supply chains were not designed for defence. I help bridge that gap by mapping product catalogues to NATO stock numbers, supporting AQAP qualification processes and managing the logistics complexity that most distributors are not equipped to handle. I am building Rubix's dedicated defence competence centre across DACH, coordinating suppliers, quality engineers and inside sales teams around defence-specific customer requirements. This includes working toward AQAP and NATO quality management system certification and a fluid management qualification with the German federal army. I draw on over eight years in the German Army Reserve, including deployment during NATO exercise Steadfast Defender 24, and prior experience setting up a dedicated defence division at Würth Industrie Service. My work sits across defence MRO supply chain, NATO compliance and production scale-up for the European defence industry.
