Currently retired, as a hobby runs his own B&B in Torino. After classical studies in high school, he undertook Engineering and received his PhD in Electrical Engineering. His first experiences were in wind electric power and industrial power electronics. He then worked at Fiat Auto for 15 years on the electric and hybrid car, becoming one of the company references on the subject. As a project manager he led the development of 5 vehicle projects. He then was a project consultant with Microsoft in the development of the Blue&Me automotive platform. Lately he returned to University and was with Politecnico di Torino for 18 years in the Department of International Affairs managing international projects. Native Italian speaker, speaks fluent English and Spanish, conversational French and basic German. Currently studying Japanese and the piano.

Project Consultant for Convergence, the open architecture telematics platform developed in partnership with Fiat Auto. Main responsibilities: support the project team in Redmond (US) on the overall project planning and the development of after sales processes. Based in Torino, is an interface with Fiat Auto.
Manager of the Convergence initiative, a cross-platform project for development and application of a telematic platform on the Fiat and Alfa Romeo vehicle range. Involves managing a partnership with Microsoft and developing the business case including product and services. In addition, responsible of systems and components standardization, Chassis and Electric/Electronic systems.
Responsible of Minimum Environmental Impact Vehicles and Cross-Platform Initiatives. Reports to the Platform Director. Responsibilities and achievements: - Technical project definition and business case evaluation for approval, interfacing with engineering, marketing, purchasing and manufacturing. - Approved Cross-Platform initiatives: DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter), New Fiat Logo, Engine Add-on. - Preparation of the natural gas vehicle plan approved by the CEO. - Management of a periodic meeting for natural gas vehicles with Sales, Supply Chain and Manufacturing, allowing for the production increase (volumes threefold in 2004). - Technical coordination of the natural gas vehicles regulation upgrades (Multipla, Punto, Doblò e Ducato: EOBD, EURO4).
Vehicle project manager of the Punto 2003 Face Lifting. Reports to the Platform Director. Responsible of timing, cost and quality with a budget of approx. Euro 50 Million R&D, and Euro 120 Million Investment. Has 5 direct coworkers (RDS) and manages a team of 50 including people from design, engineering development and testing, prototyping, planning, cost engineering, purchasing and manufacturing engineering. Has been in charge of the project from design approval through the whole industrialization phase until after commercial launch, fully reaching the timing, cost and quality goals. Promoted Manager in January 2002.
