Marco Viscogliosi belongs to the 5th generation of a family of entrepreneurs in the Italian paper sector. After graduating in Mechanical Engineering with honors from the University of Rome-La Sapienza, he dedicated himself to the relaunch and development of a precious family production unit active in the felt sector for paper mills. Thanks to his skills acquired also through an experimental thesis on the subject, he led his company to be acquired first by a leading company on the French market, then together with this to be acquired by a German multinational, always covering the role of Chief Executive Officer and Director General. In 2001 he regained control of his company becoming the reference shareholder and then President and Entrepreneur. Under his direction, his company grew by 20% a year in the first 20 years until it reached saturation of the plants. From a typically local, then national unit, it is now purely international and exports over 50% of its production. Felts are for paper machines like tires are for cars. M.V. has developed the only software in the world for the computerized design of felt and for the online sale of felts for paper mills. The felt factory is a rare and very strategic company in the paper sector especially in times like these of international turmoil, economic sanctions and so on. M.V. he is always interested and available for any form of sharing and collaboration in the field of this business.
