I am a researcher in the Department of Economics and Business at the University of Catania. I have an active research agenda in the fields of behavioural and experimental economics. I focus my research on the use of behavioural approaches to address questions related to sustainability preferences and social preferences in contexts involving public interests and the public sector. More broadly, I draw on insights from behavioural and cognitive sciences to study individual behaviour, public actors, and the design of policies and instruments aimed at promoting environmental, social, and economic sustainability. My research and working interests encompass topics such as public and common goods, intertemporal preferences, social preferences and social norms, environmental preferences elicitation, and AI attitudes and adoption. I earned my PhD in Economics at the University of Pisa, and my past experiences include my research activities carried out at the deaprtment of Econoics and FInace of the University of Rome "TOr Vergata", at the Centre for Environmental and Resource Economics (CERE) in Umeå, the Department of Forest Economics at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences and the Umeå School of Economics and Statistics (USBE) I serve as a Board Member of SABE, the Society for the Advancement of Behavioral Economics, where I contribute to the development of international research networks and to the dissemination and advancement of behavioral economics. I regularly present my findings at international conferences and seminars. I am committed to building an interdisciplinary network of passionate researchers, scholars and policymakers to push the boundaries of economic and social dialogue on topics such as sustainability, social preferences, public policy. Outside of academia, I am passionate about nature and the outdoors. You will often find me climbing, hiking, or exploring the natural world on foot or by bike - activities that inspire and enrich my research interests. The figurative arts, in their many expressions, from painting to photography, are another of my great passions.
