Most newly certified coaches don't know if their coaching is actually working. And that uncertainty is the reason they're still coaching for free. You invested $5k–$15k in certification. You're doing the work with real clients. But you have no systematic feedback on your own performance, no way to articulate your method, and no evidence to point to when it's time to charge. So you don't charge. And the pipeline stays frozen. After 15 years building enterprise software, I partnered with executive coach Michael Shehane to build JourneyLoop — an AI companion that learns your coaching method, captures evidence of what's working with your clients, and gives you the confidence and the data to move from pro bono to paid. We're building a small community of newly certified coaches using it in their practice. Not a course, not a mastermind — a room of people doing the same work at the same stage, with a companion that learns alongside each of them. Bringing 5 more coaches in right now. If you're 0–3 years post-certification and stuck in the pro-bono stretch, send me a message. I'd genuinely love to hear about your practice.
JourneyLoop is built around a single conviction: human connection is what makes coaching work. Everything we make exists to keep that connection at the center, and to use AI in service of it, never in place of it. The same trust that lives between a coach and a client lives in how we build, alongside the coaches who actually use what we make. This is where your practice grows because your relationships do.
After 15 years in tech—from scrappy startups to Silicon Valley giants—I've boldly stepped into the world of self-employment. Right now, I'm somewhere between "experienced software veteran" and "figuring out entrepreneurship in real-time." In the meantime, my extensive experience in backend engineering, cloud infrastructure, AI, and CI/CD is available for select projects and collaborations. If you’ve got interesting problems to solve or just want to watch me try to stand on my own two feet, let's talk!
