I shadowed an insurance auditor. Across my 3 days I sat in meetings and discussed with staff their roles at the Bank of England.
During this work experience I sat down with a range of staff members, from the CEO to finance directors. They taught me how their finance development firm works with property developers and investors to broker deals. I had to summarise and ananlyse, the development finance loans of many tranches. I learnt many key concepts, such as Gross Development Value (GDV) and what carrying out a risk assessement intails.
Responsibilities included: Completing balance sheets, reconciliation and general administrative support.
