About

I'm a Software Engineer and PhD in Computer Science passionate about building intelligent systems that bridge data, process modeling, and real-world impact. I currently work at UBS, where I develop and maintain a full-stack internal platform built with Java Spring Boot, React, and Azure services, powering the deployment infrastructure for other applications across the organization. My broader background spans simulation and digital twins, backend development (Python/FastAPI, Pandas, Polars, SQLAlchemy), and modern web interfaces (React, TypeScript). I'm comfortable taking projects from concept to production, applying clean code, containerization, and CI/CD best practices. I'm also active in open source. Some of my public projects include ARMS, a Kotlin/React/BPMN-based simulator for business and manufacturing processes; Stalker, a distributed tracking platform using Flask, Angular, and GCP; and Human-Robot in Tandem, a ROS-based framework using AI and gesture recognition for human-robot collaboration. Curious, adaptable, and motivated by complex problems, I enjoy working across disciplines to build solutions that are both technically solid and human-centered,

Experience

  • Bonfiglioli Consulting (3 yrs)
    • Software Engineer
      Jan 2025 - Oct 2025 · 10 mos

Working as a software engineer on a supply chain tool. Building it from the ground up to meet user requirements.

    • Simulation Engineer
      Nov 2022 - Oct 2025 · 3 yrs

Working on simulation models which enable what-if analysis of different scenarios and data analysis on big data for several customers. The domains have been production floor, logistics, and healthcare

  • Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna ()
    • PHD Student
      Nov 2022 - Oct 2025 · 3 yrs

Led the research and development of ARMS, a hybrid simulation platform that blends BPMN-driven activity modeling with resource-aware constructs (executors, products, inventories) to enable tactical manufacturing analysis by non-programmer analysts. Defined a new meta-model for manufacturing processes and implemented a modeler, simulation engine, and dashboard to support what-if analyses on real industrial scenarios

    • Teaching Assistant
      Nov 2022 - Feb 2025 · 2 yrs 4 mos

Tutoring students of the Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science for Management. I help and evaluate the end-course projects for the Software Engineering course and Programming course.

  • Software Engineer Teacher at Fondazione Aldini Valeriani
    Nov 2024 - Feb 2025 · 4 mos

I taught software requirements identification, use case scenarios, sequence and activity diagrams, data modeling, Unified Process, RDD, design patterns, Git, Build Automation Tools, and CI/CD to a class of 8.
