Mechatronic Engineer focused on the design and development of complex and special machinery and integrated systems. My work includes structural analysis, actuators sizing, and system architecture definition. I work with multidisciplinary teams, and manage relationships with clients, suppliers, and production teams.
Design of machinery and systems for handling operation in the wind offshore and oil & gas sectors. Sizing of hydraulic and electric actuators, bladder accumulators, gearboxes, motor drives, drag chains, lithium battery power systems, photovoltaic panels. Definition of kinematic and dynamic models for mechanical system, FEA structural calculations, power balances, simple thermal models. Defining the hardware architecture (sensors, radio control units, cameras, Wi-Fi systems), layout of machine (hydraulic piping, junction box, cable trays) and machine control systems in collaboration with electrical, software and hydraulic engineers. Coordinating the project technical team and managing relationships with suppliers, clients and assembly team. Interfacing with quality technicians and DNV machine certification bodies. Participation in machine testing and final FAT.
