•Identifies, plans and implements the educational needs of the nursing staff for a 26-bed step-down unit and 30-bed orthopedic, tele, med-surg unit. •Guides, directs, oversees and evaluates new employee orientation programs in conjunction with preceptor and nurse manager. •Designs, implements and evaluates innovative programs to achieve desired quality and cost effective nurse sensitive outcomes. •Expands nursing practice by participating in ongoing research at the unit level.
