Bridging Creative Vision & Technical Execution | Product Leader | Startup Veteran | Builder of Digital Worlds I’ve always thrived at the intersection of creative thought and business need. From leading the development of award-winning digital learning products for the BBC, PwC, DfES, and many others to digital streaming apps for the Royal Opera House — I’ve built a career on turning unconventional ideas into practical, high-impact outcomes. With 20+ years of experience across startups, agencies, and major cultural institutions, I’ve led multidisciplinary teams (10–100 people), shipped complex software products, and generated over £20m in new business via problem solving and lateral thinking. Whether designing virtual learning environments, streaming platforms, or AI-powered edtech tools, I blend a deep technical understanding with a keen sense of user experience and commercial focus.
Founded Atticmedia, a pioneering digital agency built at the intersection of technology, creativity, and user experience, with an internationally recognised expertise in digital learning. Grew the company from a solo operation into a 40-person team with up to 60 additional freelancers—delivering award-winning digital products for clients including the BBC, PwC, and multiple public & private sector organisations. Led strategy, product vision, and new business—personally responsible for over £15m in client acquisition. Projects ranged from immersive learning games and large-scale content portals to mobile apps and interactive video platforms. Notable work includes BBC Janala, a mobile English learning service in Bangladesh that reached over 27 million users.
Leading the end-to-end product vision for StudyVisor, an AI-driven platform that helps learners build personalised pathways through education and training content. Brought on to define the MVP strategy and rapidly deliver a working product using Bubble.io—leveraging no-code tools to move fast without compromising on quality or flexibility. Personally built the MVP web app, integrating multiple third-party AI services to enable intelligent course search, personalised learning recommendations, and dynamic career goal alignment. The initial proof-of-concept (focused on search and compare functionality) is already live, with the full MVP launching imminently. Balancing hands-on prototyping with cross-functional collaboration, I’ve worked closely with engineers, designers, and stakeholders to align technical delivery with strategic vision—focusing on solving real user problems in a scalable, affordable way.
Led digital product development during a pivotal period, joining just before the COVID-19 lockdown and helping pivot the ROH’s audience engagement strategy. Oversaw a full redesign of the ticketing and checkout system to improve UX and conversion, and played a key role in launching ROH Stream, the organisation’s flagship streaming service. Took the lead on product design and delivery for TV platforms including Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Google Chromecast, and LG Smart TV, collaborating across engineering, design, marketing, and executive teams. Delivered user-centric, high-impact digital experiences under pressure, aligning technical execution with strategic goals.
Founded Grazer Learning, a startup aiming to reimagine digital learning through a social, learner-centric platform. Raised seed funding and led a fully remote team to build and iterate on multiple MVPs—each designed to explore new ways of connecting users around shared learning goals. Despite operating with limited financial resources and ultimately not managing to gain the next round of funding, the venture provided invaluable experience in startup leadership, product-market alignment, and building resilient, agile teams. Each iteration offered deep insights into user behaviour, engagement strategies, and the realities of edtech product development. The experience directly informed future roles—deepening my approach to innovation, technical problem-solving, and navigating early-stage uncertainty.
Worked with the founding team at Glass.ai to shape the product vision for a cutting-edge AI platform capable of reading and synthesising text at scale. Helped translate complex technical capabilities into a clear, user-focused proposition—positioning the product as a powerful research tool for professionals across multiple sectors.
