With over 15 years of experience mobilizing resources for UNICEF, I lead private sector fundraising and partnerships in Peru—one of the region’s fastest-growing markets. I’ve successfully launched and scaled operations in multiple countries, driving sustainable income growth and operational efficiency. I bring a pragmatic, results-oriented approach to team leadership, strategic campaigns, and high-impact partnerships—aligned with UNICEF’s mission to protect children’s rights.
Responsible for leading the Resource Mobilization & Partnerships section with >30 professionals. In charge of driving all private sector income sources, including individuals, companies, and non-financial collaborations with the private sector. I led the definition of the resource mobilization strategies and investment plans for 2024-2027.
- Lead the partnerships strategy of the office to secure USD 35M to implement the country program 2018-2022 in collaboration with embassies (Sweden, Canada, USA, etc) and international cooperation. - Startup the operation of individual fundraising securing the acquisition and retention of the initial 15,000 donors of UNICEF Bolivia and leading the development of the 1st telethon of UNICEF Bolivia. - Co-create successful partnerships with leading companies (such as Millicom/Tigo, Kimberly Clark, Banco Bisa, etc) and organizations to promote the respect and support of child rights by the business sector
- Lead the development and implementation of a child and gender risk management framework for UNICEF initiatives in LAC with extractives, agriculture, ICTs, etc . - Promote regional and national engagement with the corporate sector in key UNICEF programmatic areas such early childhood development, child obesity, child migration, etc. - Advice 24 country offices of UNICEF on engagement with government for the adoption of policies, legislation, and an enabling environment related to the promotion of children`s rights by business.
- Design regional programs to promote young social entrepreneurship in 10 countries in Latin American and among Latinos in the US. - Develop and manage partnerships for youth oriented programs with MTV, Procter & Gamble and others. - Develop and manage global programs with Ashoka leading social entrepreneurs in the area of financial services for the poor with focus on microsavings.
- Responsible for coordination of corporate responsibility plans and communications strategies that allowed P&G to be recognized for the first time as a top ten company in corporative reputation rankings in Argentina. - Design and lead P&G’s Argentina first Cause Related Marketing campaign in alliance with UNICEF. The campaign was later adopted by P&G’s Pampers in more than 20 countries.
