Marburg an der Lahn, Hesse, Germany
I am a PhD researcher in the field of protein biochemistry , anaerobic microbiology and structural biology at the Max Planck Insitute for Terrestrial Microbiology, with a background spanning environmental microbiology amd bioelectrical systems (undergraduate studies at KIT) . Growing up near Heidelberg, Germany I early on developed a passion for natural sciences, especially microbiology and biochemistry. Beyond the bench, I have actively developed skills that go beyond research: as a presentation tutor at KIT's House of Competence, I trained and coached students in scientific communication for several years. As elected doctoral representative, I co-organized conferences and events, strengthening my skills in organization, communication and team collaboration. I also had the opportunity to learn and adapt into a different culture while studying one semester abroad in Oslo, Norway. I am now looking to transition into industry — particularly in roles that combine my scientific expertise with people and project work, such as Application Science, Research Coordination or Project Management in Life Sciences and in the Field of Science Management.
