I am the former Managing Partner of EY’s Europe West region, bringing together 37,500 people, 1,700 partners across 25 countries in Western Europe and some connected African countries. I have over 30 years’ experience within the professional services industry, 10 of which have been outside my home country, The Netherlands. Prior to leading EY Europe West I was leading EY Financial Services across Europe. Prior to leading EY EMEIA FS, I was the Country Managing Partner of EY in the Netherlands where I held a number of leadership positions and oversaw major audit and advisory engagements in the banking industry. I have also spent several years working abroad, notably the US and UK, as part of global assignments. I am a passionate advocate of Diversity, Equity and Inclusiveness (DE&I) and an a proud member of EY’s Global DE&I Steering Committee, which works together to advance our culture of inclusiveness. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and I am proud father of two daughters. Whenever time allows, I like to indulge in my many hobbies including cycling, running and swimming. I also like playing an occasional round of golf!
