Assigned to Qingdao, China for the high speed project SJ 250 (Swedish High Speed Train - 250 km/h). Reported directly to Chief Engineer, representing AT Engineering on place of our JV AST in Qingdao, China. Ensures proper communication between JV AST and AT on technical matters for the whole mechanical exterior, interior and cab scope. Customer and internal FAIs Participates on Vehicle Integration and sub systems like Exterior Door and Sliding step, Waste Water and Fresh Water Tanks, CAB GRP Mask and drivers desk and as well Interior sub systems like ceiling, sidewall panels and sidewall heaters. Participates on installation FAIs in the workshop as well on Change Board meetings, especially for fast track Changes. Participates on Engineering and Methods QA sessions for Cab, Exterior, Interior and Installations as far as Engineering is affected, I organized and provided input for solutions on problems arisen from FAIs, QA and Production Verification checks during train production on behalf of Engineering for, e.g.: materials, tolerances, design principles, accessibility and maintainability. Direct interface towards SJ 250 customer in Qingdao, China for the mechanical scope and related FAIs. For the mechanical scope, writing the technical customer documents related to design reviews for DDR (Detail Design Review) and as well leading the design review in Qingdao, China. Furthermore leading and organize closure meetings for Technical customer points.
Performing project Train Design (TD) activities in compliance with QCD commitments for the high speed project SJ 250 (Swedish High Speed Train - 250 km/h). Planning and piloting TD activities and related deliverables on project taking into account applicable instructions/processes and other specific Customer (internal or external) requirements. Ensuring TD deliverables quality and their acceptance by the Customer (internal or external) within committed limits. Reporting on TD activities progress and alerting relevant N+1 in case of issue potentially impacting achievement of QCD commitments. Allocating requirements and mechanical interfaces to Sub Systems/equipment’s (Allocated volume, weight, location, etc.) Monitoring the Mechanical Sub-Systems/equipment’s deliveries conformity with project needs. Ensuring resolution of Project Mechanical issues and challenging actions (single domain) Defining mitigation plans covering a risk identified on Mechanical scope (single-domain). Ensuring Mechanical Project/Product Preferred Part List delivery. Defining Project Mechanical Decomposition in Digital Mock-Up. Direct interface towards SJ 250 customer for the mechanical scope, writing technical customer documents related to design reviews for CDR (Concept Design Review) and as well leading the design review in Hennigsdorf, Germany. Furthermore leading and organize closure meetings for Technical customer points.
Assigned to Qingdao, China of new construction and designing for mechanical integration of underframe equipment’s, side and bottom skirts, piping, bogie, Front and IME coupler, obstacle deflector / Cab and Passenger HVAC / Toilet / Exterior Door + sliding step / Gangway with assistant of Chinese colleagues for the project Västrafik- Sweden, First article inspection (FAI), Harmonization Engineering and Methods, Drawing approval, Interface Management, supplier selection / Production Support.
The Product Manager is the product owner and has responsibility for cost ownership of the products in his segment in all Product Definition, Development and utilization Phases and ensures the feedback from operations to have a continuously improved product for Single Deck Carbodies (Metro, Reg&Comm, HS&VHS). The Product Manager for each Carbody Product Platform is responsible for ensuring that all Carbody products in his segment are available for sale and delivery within agreed performance, technical risk and cost that continually support the required growth, profitability and quality objectives of the Division. In this sense he has to lead the Product Engineers of the segments. He has to control and ensure the quality of the product engineering at all phases of the project from the beginning phase through to service operation.
Sign off of designs, ensure projects are delivered on time and to budget during CDR, PDR, DDR and production support, leading design reviews in every phase Liaise with the other divisions within the company at all management levels, etc. Manage the introduction of new systems and technologies within Carbody Division in APAC Ensuring procedures and processes are updated and staff trained Identifying & communicating best practice across sites in relation to design & manufacture of carbodies Providing direct support/advice to projects across the company including North America.
