As a Research & Technology Manager, I am responsible for the European Technology departments: - Research & Development (R&D), - Quality Assurance (QA) - Regulatory Affairs
In my role as R&D Director, Regions I am responsible for the Regional R&D facailities in US, EMEA and APAC. In this role I need to motivate and work through others to ensure R&D resources working in regional laboratories are appropriately prioritized and working in a safe, compliant and nurturing environment in order to deliver the results that make the Hempel vision a reality. Examples of these activities are, but not limited to: 1- People and Facility Management 2- Training and ensuring compliance to Hempel policies, processes and initiatives (including general Hempel policies such as Code of Conduct, Talent Management and more specific R&D Processes such as 6S, CI,, New Solutions, Formula Optimization, etc.) 3- Facilitating the successful collaboration between R&D teams in the Regions with the rest of R&D and wider Hempel 4- Local support (including local customer claims, customer trials, local raw material approvals, etc.)
Acting as R&D Director Americas, Lead R&D team for new technical solution development, product customisation to meet customer requirements in the protective (incl PFP), marine, deco and container coatings. Examples of these activities are, but not limited to: 1- People and Facility Management 2- Training and ensuring compliance to Hempel policies, processes and initiatives (including general Hempel policies such as Code of Conduct, Talent Management and more specific R&D Processes such as 6S, CI,, New Solutions, Formula Optimization, etc.) 3- Facilitating the successful collaboration between R&D teams in the Regions with the rest of R&D and wider Hempel 4- Local support (including local customer claims, customer trials, local raw material approvals, etc.)
