Current position: Technical Engineer at Basic Pharma Manufacturing in Geleen. Graduated in technical installation technics and mechanics at the Sint-Jansberg Technical Institute in Maaseik. Technical Secondary Education (TSO) March 2013: Started as a maintenance/breakdown mechanic at carfactory VDL Nedcar. Later in 2018, I transitioned to Production Engineer. After the closure of the car factory in early 2024, I started in September as a Process Engineer at Basic Pharma Manufacturing in Geleen. Now named as Technical Engineer. In this role, I support the production department technically in the production of pharmaceutical products such as ointments, creams, nasal sprays, and prefilled syringes by analyzing and optimizing the production process. I also contribute to the procurement and implementation of new pharmaceutical machines to optimize the output of our production lines according to GMP guidelines. Seeking optimizations of the technical installation within the production department is what motivates me, especially when the results start becoming visible, both operationally and financially. I also enjoy continuing to learn about all the new techniques entering the market that can help our company perform better. Increase production capacity, reduce downtime, lower production OEE by automating the process as much as possible.
My focuses as process engineer in the pharmaceutical industry is to support production with optimise and improve manufacturing efficiency while maintaining product quality.
