The PDM senior is responsible for realizing the design phase of the projects within time, budget and of high quality and is managing a group of (internal and/or external) designers and engineers. Contact with the client for technical issues and for obtaining approvals of the design, the tests and the samples. Follow-up design for suppliers, in production and on site PLANNING&BUDGET • Making and monitoring a detailed Design planning, derived from the Overall planning. Recorded therein would be, when design- and production drawings, calculations etc. must be made and submitted and the staffing needed. Progress reporting • Determining and monitoring of the design budget. • Being capable of organizing and realizing a project with: a high degree of difficulty, involvement of several international parties. • Developing an approval strategy • Signaling variations DESIGN&EXECUTION • Translates the specifications and architect plans into a technically optimal design • Organizing and reporting reviews • Taking care of obtaining samples and the contractual approval of those in consideration of the specification requirements, costs and quality • Managing the approval process, aiming to obtain timely approval of the documents • Providing the information for the purchasing contracts, and monitoring the outsourcing of design, production and installation • Realization of the production drawings installation drawings and As-built drawings and O&M manual TESTING • Managing and reporting all tests (e.g. performance mock-up, acoustics and fire) and visual mock-up PRODUCTION&INSTALLATION • Evaluating the production and installation execution compared to the design, and approving benchmarks Skills: (Skill is something learned in order to be able to carry out one or more job functions.) • Knowledge of AutoCAD (r), Revit (r) and Navis Works (r) • Ability to work with several Microsoft Office applications • English Language level C1
