- Manage and develop a team of designers. Set clear goals, provide constructive feedback and ensure consistent quality design across multiple product teams. - Ensure the team thinks strategically about their work, striking a balance between speed to market and perfection. - Utilize UX Research to better understand our customer and positively affect the design process. - Seek out processes, tools, and methods to optimize team productivity and to allow for a higher level of innovation. - Communicate with stakeholders, leadership, and other departments on project status and team needs. - Think strategically about customer needs and how to best reconcile those with business goals. - Maintain and evolve our Design Language System. - Manage timelines, scope and team allocation. - Provide inspiration and foster a learning environment for the design team. - Advocate for UX within the company. - Stay current with trends in UX, design web/app technology and e-commerce.
- Analyze UX problems and create on-brand design solutions that meet measurable business requirements and goals - Incorporate market analysis, customer feedback, technical constraints, and usability findings into design - Quickly and iteratively create interaction flows, wireframes, throughout the design process - Develop and maintain detailed information architecture and design specifications - Present work to Product, and Engineering teams, as well executive leadership. - Identify and prioritize research questions based on the analysis of existing product designs, business needs, project goals and risks. - Employ the best research method(s) based on research questions, timeline and resourcing. - Perform quick but thorough data analysis in order to uncover insightful and actionable results that drive tactical and strategic product decisions. - Communicate results and opportunities in clear, concise, and compelling ways to all levels of management. - Deliver impact, as measured by changes to the product design and development roadmap.
