After studying medical engineering, Marc Henzler began his career as Sales and Product Manager for surgical products, gaining first commercial experience in the field. Later he worked for a firm specialized on company restructuring and revitalization. With this experience at hand, he founded Digital Endoscopy with only outside capital and governmental guarantees. After managing the company for some years, Digital Endoscopy and its sister companies was successfully sold to Hoya Corporation Japan, a 4.5 billion US$ multinational which acquired Pentax Medical earlier. Maintaining the entrepreneurial spirit, he led Digital Endoscopy as vital part of Pentax Medical R&D and Manufacturing Network. Doubling the number of employees and tripling the balance sheet total within 4 years is part of the track history of designing, manufacturing and launching award winning products to the global market. Since 2017 Marc Henzler focused on consulting a number of companies in Germany, the US and Israel with a strong focus on innovation and digital transformation, technology development and re-thinking business models. These engagements cover a wide range including VC backed start-up, Health care venture builder to one of the top four German energy utilities. Marc Henzler holds an international MBA degree from Vienna University and has 20 years’ experience in the medical device industry.
