Since 1st January 2026, Saarstahl Precision has been introduced as a new family brand – the strong new unit for Saarstahl downstream processing units. The Saarstahl Precision brand brings together four long-established companies that have been recognized for decades for their quality, precision and innovative strength. As part of this repositioning, a targeted renaming of the existing companies will take place to clearly highlight their affiliation with the new family brand while emphasizing the specialization of each entity: • Drahtwerk St. Ingbert GmbH is being renamed Saarstahl Precision Wire GmbH • Saar-Blankstahl GmbH will be renamed Saarstahl Precision Bright Steel GmbH • Schweißdraht Luisenthal GmbH will be renamed Saarstahl Precision Welding GmbH • Saar-Bandstahl GmbH will be renamed Saarstahl Precision Strip GmbH This naming structure creates a consistent external appearance, reflecting our combined strength and the strategic bundling of expertise in the areas of drawn wire, bright steel, welding consumables, and cold strip.
The company is part of the Saarstahl Group und well known in the market of welding consumables as producer of specialities with the main focus on wires and bars for gas shielded arc welding of hard surfacing and tool steels as well as wires for the thermal spraying e.g. for the automotive industry (wire for cylinder bore coating via LDS or PTWA/RSW)
