I’ve been a dedicated educator for 36 fantastic years working primarily in 4th grade (10 years) and 5th grades (24 years) within the Clarkstown Central School District. In preparing my students for middle school, I have committed myself towards developing independent learners who can think critically for themselves. Building confidence, encouraging multiple pathways to success, and recognizing individual strengths and weaknesses have allowed me to help my students develop to their fullest potentials. In addition to building up self esteem within all my students, I enjoy hiking with my doggo Ollie, swimming laps at Germonds Town Park and Felix Festa Middle School , and playing softball.
Provide direct instruction of all curricular activities, including ELA, math, science and social studies in whole class, small group and individual settings. Supplement standardized curriculum with diverse and creative activities to promote inspiring learning opportunities for different learning styles and abilities. Create and implement data driven assessments to help identify student strengths and weaknesses and drive appropriate instruction and interventions.
