Accomplished professional with solid experience in the development and management of innovative projects for components, mechanisms, devices and subsystems for aircraft, planes and helicopters. Used to work in an EASA-Production Organization Approval aerospace design studio, contributing to a wide range of projects from initial concept through to final installation and certification. My expertise spans the development of composite cabinetry, cabin monuments, electro-mechanical and hydraulic systems (tables, beds, doors), seating solutions, galleys, and customized system modifications (e.g., water supply, drainage, and waste). I am also actively involved in designing Emergency Medical Services (EMS) kits, including stretchers, integrated medical equipment, and air system supply. Hands-on experience managing full project lifecycles, including subcontractor coordination, outsourced part production, and certification support. I work closely with stakeholders through certification processes, testing phases (stress and environmental), and final acceptance procedures. As a certified Quality Examiner and member of the Certifying Staff, I uphold the highest standards in compliance and engineering accuracy. Additionally, I support aircraft installation and problem-solving on the assembly floor and contribute to mentoring and onboarding new team members, ensuring knowledge transfer and consistent team performance.
After 15 years of intense and rewarding work, I took a sabbatical for pursuing personal projects in the transportation, mobility and logistics sector in year 2024
My field of activity is the design and development of components, mechanisms, devices and subsystems for aircraft, planes and helicopters, working in an aerospace design and engineering studio. The range of projects I work on covers the development of composite cabinetry, monuments, electro-mechanical tables and beds, seats, galleys; systems modifications (water supply, drain, waste); development of Emergency Medical Services kits (stretchers, medical devices and air system integrations). Concurrently I’m closely involved with customers in their certification and later in testing for the final acceptance and installation. Certification documentation, user instruction documentation, maintenance documentation writing. Working in an aerospace design and engineering bureau, my tasks were the design and development of systems for aircraft interiors in the completioning sector, for both planes and helicopters. The range of projects covered the development of composite cabinetery, galleys; systems modifications. Concurrently I was involved in their certification and later in testing for the final acceptance. Worked on A319, A320, A340, B767, B777, AW139, EC145 projects
In the gasoline engine R&D office my task was to measure the piston temperatures for a new direct injection gasoline engine, in cooperation with the piston supplier. After an engine analysis, I defined the most important parameters for combustion. Then, after driving and validating the bench tests, I analyzed the effects on the piston temperature caused by the variation of the different load values, rpm and tuning of the control unit (ignition advance, lambda variation, water and oil temperatures). The results obtained were very useful in defining the most critical points regarding the thermal stress of the piston and the way to solve them in the industrialization of the series part.
