+ Work with leadership team to support special projects developing global Founder Institute program and growth, including the development of the Impact Strategy (SDGs) and the VC Lab program for emerging Fund Managers, as well as virtual program development and process efficiency. + Portfolio management and success, supporting the development of founders within the main FI startup launch program, product/market fit and fundraising. + Deep dive into the Operations, Marketing, Finance and Graduate Support teams at FI HQ.
Providing general support and mentorship time for the FI pre-seed stage accelerator city chapter to validate ideas, build a team, and launch a business.
+ Conceptualization of a novel Open Innovation process for externally generated ideas in the fuzzy front end of innovation, bridging the gap between idea generation and implementation. + Building relations with local startup ecosystem. + Facilitating startups throughout the 3-month Accelerator Program. + Support in planning/organizing the Merck Startup Day (Demo Day).
+ Attending events and conferences to promote the program. + Building a network/community of internal experts. + Providing general support for the scouting of startups within the Merck fields of interest (Healthcare, Life Science, Performance Materials, Biosensing & Interfaces, Liquid Biopsy and Clean Meat). + Managing the evaluation and selection process from 500+ applications to 10 startups selected, and 200+ internal experts involved. + Conceptualizing and organizing the first Merck Selection Days event (2-day bootcamp).
+ Project Planning / Controlling from idea to manufacturing. + Building up new procedures and a control framework. + Responsible of prototype’s control (in contact with Hong Kong).
