Supporting the global indirect procurement team for capital expenditures to include valves, pumps, compressors, turbines, extruders, fabricated pipe and materials), plant support services and contingent labor necessary to maintain the operations of 10 North & South America chemical plants valued at over $100 million annually. Support the development of supply strategies for the North American region. Work closely with the business unit and the Procurement network to develop and implement sourcing strategies for products related to this portfolio. Lead and manage sourcing process (RFI, RFQ, RFP, etc.) for key strategic contracts and highly complex negotiations to ensure the most competitive supply advantage for BASF Provide relationship management for key suppliers, which will include monitoring performance metrics, resolving claims and/or disputes, market intelligence, and other contributing factors affecting supply availability and pricing of products procured. Conduct market intelligence research by interacting with key suppliers, industry associations, and internal stakeholders to collect industry relevant information and rationalizing to assess impact current and future to BASF. Support purchase order creation and processing as appropriate.
Responsible for all indirect procurement of capital materials. plant support services and contract labor necessary to maintain the operations of 3 Gulf Coast chemical plants in the region. Manage relationships between Goodyear and its vendors to include professional services, fixtures & tooling, infrastructure maintenance and expense as well as various medium to large Cap Ex Project improvements. Serve as Lead Negotiator for all Capex projects and initiatives to ensure contribution to financial results in a climate of extreme cost reduction and cash preservation. Serve in a consulting role for the development of regional strategies and plans for supplier consolidation in support of corporate objectives and philosophies. Manages the process for selecting preferred suppliers on a regional basis, although the selection process is performed jointly along with SBU / Functions. Contributes to Goodyear’s EBIT/cash flow savings objectives through effective negotiation of requirements through the aggregation of demand and supplier consolidation within Goodyear’s supplier base on a regional level.
Oversee all aspects of maintaining acceptable inventory levels associated with customer repair efforts in supporting rebuilds of major oil & gas subsea equipment / controls utilized for offshore drilling and production operations. Manage a staff of 2 direct reports charged with the handling of subsea finished goods inventory & OSP product, warehouse shipping & receiving functions, as well as global Ex-Works / CIP shipments to customer destinations in Africa and the Gulf of Mexico. Responsible for full site reporting to the Global Materials Team based in Aberdeen, UK and Stavenger, Norway to include the drafting and maintenance of DP&S QMI score cards to determine quarterly Inputs vs. Outputs, track inventory turns, identifying SMI / OBSO - Slow Moving Inventory, forecasting of outstanding open PO's as well as tracking of incoming PO receipts. Serve as one of the site team leads for the NAM Subsea Services region responsible for quarterly GE "Bullet Train" Financial Deck Reporting which includes tracking and comparing against assigned annual OP-Operating Plan in relation to Inventory Levels, Facility Expenditures (ie: Lease, IT / Telecom, Travel etc.), Shop Costs (ie: Direct vs Indirect Labor hours), Contribution Margin, and QTR Revenue. Managed a number of facility initiative improvements including the implementation of a Inventory Barcoding system to work simultaneously with Oracle 11i and 12 (go live was Q3 2012). Co-Leading an initiative to set up a Weld Shop to repair customer owned subsea riser pipe on premise for go live by Q2 2015. Contributing member on a number of Six Sigma / GE S2 work out sessions to streamline quality and improve the overall customer experience. Customer projects presently involved with include Exxon Mobil - Hibernia (Canada), Anadarko K2, Shell, BP, Chevron - Cabinda Oil Gulf Co. - Spares – Angola, GE - GLS Angola for Chevron, Vetco Gray UK - Nigeria for Chevron.
Responsible for quoting, purchasing and expediting existing or engineered replacement parts in rebuilding customer legacy owned subsea control modules and trees utilized for offshore drilling and production operations. Managed the OMC process involving the rework of subsea components to include machining services, as well as the phosphate / sugarblasting process per engineering VGS and / or EPS specification. Evaluated current and anticipated requirements with project manager and engineering teams in identifying parts necessary for rework or remanufacture. Tracked and expedited overseas orders arriving from Europe (Scotland, Singapore, Norway, etc) along with providing further assistance related to customs clearance and receiving procedures. Solicitated and selected potential suppliers possessing the best qualifications in obtaining bids through a formal Request for Quote RFQ automated system called SIMON. Evaluated suppliers quotations for best pricing and delivery commitments. Managed the expedite process in making sure delivery commitment dates were effectively being met. Worked in conjunction with the Receiving Dept. in managing discrepancies related to invoices against stock on hand or shortages.
Managed in excess of $30 million worth of indirect annual global spend to include IT Hardware, Telecom, Facilities and Contingent Labor Services, in cooperation with site teams officed in Pune (India), Amsterdam (Holland) and Tel Aviv (Israel). Responsible for negotiating complex agreements for assigned categories of goods and services to include (IT Hardware, Facilities, Telecom & Contract Labor Services). Added responsibilities included reviewing and managing the requisition approvals process, issuing purchase orders, documentation and tracking of savings, and after sale vendor management responsibilities.
