Leading the capacity planning for the entire Philip Morris Other Tobacco Products Europe production, managing and coordinating the planning cycle between Mid Term Planning team and 6 Factories (600+ products, 60 formats, 20 machines, 7 bio units p.a.). • Consolidation and analysis of production plan from Mid Term Planning team (20+ markets) • Requiring explanations from the planning team on major deviations in the Mid Term Plan, processing and sharing the monthly update with main stakeholders (factories, Finance, Procurement). • Guiding and advising factories on Operations projects, market volume deviations and marketing activities. And advising and guiding the Mid Term Planning team on solutions to overcome capacity bottlenecks. • Managing manufacturing capabilities and related production requirements (e.g. optimal factory loading in budget cycles, correct sourcing for new product launches, volume allocation following requirement deviations) • Monitoring of performance vs. budget, identifying corrective actions and presenting results to higher management. • Planning of supply scenarios for assessment and decision taking at higher management level and project lead – E.g. EU wide legislation change triggers product changes and requirement increases, while capacity is limited by necessary equipment adjustments at the same time (project ongoing, affected supply horizon 3-6 months) • Additional responsibility of Mid Term Production planning, based on sales forecast and stock policy for one market – alignment on inventory targets and management, market project launches and sales forecast
Central Demand Planning function, including the inventory and portfolio management for Philip Morris worldwide Duty Free business. • Consolidating, analyzing and processing of PMIDF demand plan for 100+ customers and 600+ products worldwide • Requiring explanations from local demand planners on major deviations in the sales forecast, handing over the consolidated plan and guiding the Mid Term Planner through the changes compared to previous submissions and budget • Coordinating between key stakeholders of the demand planning process - markets, central functions (Marketing, Finance & Sales) and Operations. • Definition of stock policy and inventory monitoring for 5 warehouses with an inventory of 2 bio units • Lifecycle maintenance of product portfolio including phase – in/ out in alignment with key stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Finance and Operations). • KPI calculation, monitoring and reporting • Successful planning of main European warehouse move – Location moved from Germany to Belgium with no related shortage in customer supply or out of stock. Performance recognized with PMI Excellence Award. • Successful planning of sourcing change – 100 products sourced from Asian factories were sourced to Europe under confidentiality with little help or guidance and no out of stock in related markets.
In – Market Sales and Consumer Off Take data analyses and processing: • Collecting, processing and analyzing of Duty Free sales data (approx. 50 Points of Sales in EU North West). • Stock monitoring at five main distributors of the region of responsibility • Presentation of consolidated monthly sales results to responsible sales force & submission to internal data base for worldwide Duty Free sales consolidation
Analyst function to support Sales and Finance functions with sales performance updates versus the budget, prepare the demand plan for review, support the budgeting process and conduct administrative tasks. Areas of responsibility were “EU Duty Free North West” markets, including France, Benelux, Great Britain, Scandinavia and others. • Sales data processing, analyses and business administration for 100+ products in 10 markets • Sales and demand planning for region of responsibility, in alignment with main distributors and PM sales force. • Presentation of sales result compared to budget to higher management • Business administrations (e.g. price list confirmation for customers, delivery of proof of performance for invoice processing, etc.).
